Kathy Lafond

Kathy LaFond has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on leadership and management roles. Kathy is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at Saratoga Hospital, where they have been since 2023. Prior to this, Kathy served as the Administrative Director and Director of Human Resources at the same hospital. Before joining Saratoga Hospital, they worked at Glens Falls Hospital, where they held the position of Senior Director of Human Resources from 2018 to 2021. Kathy also served as the Director of Human Resources at Glens Falls Hospital from 2012 to 2018. Kathy began their career at Wildwood Programs, Inc. as an Assistant Director of Human Resources from 2009 to 2012. Kathy also gained HR experience as an HRIS Analyst at INC Research, Inc. from 2006 to 2009. Overall, Kathy LaFond has demonstrated their expertise in human resources through their various leadership positions in diverse healthcare settings.

Kathy LaFond earned a Certificate in HR Management from Duke University in 2008. Kathy received their BS degree in Business, Management & Economics from the State University of New York Empire State College in 2003. Kathy obtained an AAS degree in Retail Management/Merchandising from Cazenovia College in 1989. Kathy completed their high school education at Queensbury High School, graduating in 1987. In 2022, they are set to complete their MSHRM degree from Stony Brook University. Additionally, Kathy holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI since February 2021 and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Certification from SHRM since February 2015.
