Leslie Collman-Smith is the current General Manager at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Leslie has extensive experience in the music industry, having previously worked as the GM of the Verve Label Group at Universal Music Group and as the VP of Marketing for Sony Masterworks.
At Universal, Leslie grew label revenue by 30% in one year and led the expansion and reorganization of the entire unit. Leslie reimagined the label, created a growth plan, and reorganized teams to execute on the strategic vision. Leslie ran day-to-day label operations, oversaw all departments, and managed a 7-figure P&L. Leslie also directed HR on staffing needs and hiring strategy, and collaborated with Business Affairs on negotiating contracts with both new and heritage artists. Leslie drove cross-functional collaboration across A&R, Sales, Marketing, Digital, PR, and Production. Leslie also created new revenue streams that led to the label’s growth and profitability.
Leslie began their career at Sony Music Entertainment in 1993 as the VP of Marketing for Sony Masterworks. During their time at Sony, they were responsible for change management and creative strategy. Leslie helped to shape Sony Masterworks into the successful company it is today.
Leslie Collman-Smith has a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the State University of New York College at Cortland.
