Jeff Harris has a diverse work experience in various industries. Their most recent position is as a Senior Human Factors Lead at Sarcos Technology and Robotics Corporation. Prior to this, they worked at Nexus Spine as a Senior Development Engineer, leading the development, manufacturing, and testing of interbody implants. Jeff also actively participated in ASTM F04.
Before joining Nexus Spine, Jeff worked at NuVasive as a Staff Engineer, where they conducted R&D and biomechanical research on surgical constructs. Jeff also gained experience in process engineering at Intel Corporation, focusing on process improvements and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
Jeff started their career as a Research Assistant at Brigham Young University, where they evaluated the biomechanics of the lumbar spine using finite element analysis and created computer models for orthopedic devices. Additionally, they worked as a Structural Analysis Engineer at Boeing, designing support structures for flightdeck components and performing structural analysis for certification with the FAA.
As a Student Engineer on the BYU FSAE HYBRID RACING TEAM, Jeff contributed to the design and development of a gas-hydraulic hybrid racecar, receiving awards for best hybrid design and most innovative design.
Jeff Harris completed their education in Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University. Jeff obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from 2005 to 2009, followed by a Master of Science degree from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Engineer-In-Training from the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing in April 2012.
