Varkey Patani is a seasoned professional in the music and entertainment industry with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as DGM A&R & Artiste Management at Saregama India Ltd. since March 2022, Varkey specializes in talent discovery and brand development, recently launching and nurturing artists such as Pragati, Maahi, and Arjun. Previously, Varkey co-founded Go Live - Events & Talent Management, where the career of playback singer Shahid Mallya was notably supported. With experience at BIG BOUNCE ENTERTAINMENT LIMITED, Varkey orchestrated the successful 'NOBO' concert featuring Atif Aslam and Arijit Singh, and contributed to Honey Singh's rising popularity. As Head Artistes & Events at HMV Saregama India Ltd., Varkey facilitated the debut of prominent artists like Arijit Singh and SANAM. A former Head of Content & Marketing at Times Music, Varkey reshaped the industry with chart-topping releases and the introduction of international artists to the Indian market. Varkey's early career included brand management at Lowe Lintas for major clients. An alumnus of Mumbai University, Varkey holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
