Bill Thornton

Bill Thornton is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Sarepta Therapeutics since December 2018, Bill previously held the position of VP of IT for Research & Development and HR Systems at Allergan from November 2007 to November 2018, where responsibilities included enhancing business processes and implementing system-based solutions across various R&D and Quality business units. Prior experience includes serving as an Application Architect at Amgen, where Bill played a key role in a $30M Enterprise Document Management program, and as a Lead Analyst and Programmer at First Consulting Group, leading large-scale system implementations for major global pharmaceutical firms. Bill holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science and Information Systems from Penn State University and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University.
