Stephen Zano

Stephen Zano, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional in the field of biochemistry and process development, currently serving as the Director of Early Research Process Development at Sarepta Therapeutics since March 2020. Notable achievements include spearheading the development of Small Molecule Enhancers for viral vector production, leading projects that resulted in significant improvements in viral vector productivity, and establishing a high-capacity upstream suspension cell culture platform. Prior to this role, Stephen Zano held various positions in upstream process development at Alkermes, the University of Toledo, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Clemson University, contributing to advancements in drug discovery and development.
