Melissa Saunders

Melissa Saunders has over 18 years of experience in accounting and finance. Melissa is currently serving as the SVP of Accounting Residential Services at Sares Regis Group since February 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of VP, Controller, and Accounting at Inspire Communities from February 2020 to January 2023. Melissa also has extensive experience with Greystar, where they worked for 7 years, starting as a Property Accountant and progressing to Director of Accounting Operations for the Pacific Northwest Region. Melissa was responsible for monthly reporting, budgeting, working with external auditors, and leading a team of over 40 accounting professionals. Before joining Greystar, Melissa held roles as an Accounting Manager and Accounts Payable Manager at Riverstone Residential Group and worked as a Sr. Accountant/Financial Analyst at Pageantry Homes of WA.

Melissa Saunders completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting/Finance from Grand Canyon University, where they studied from 2002 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from City University of Seattle, which they completed between 2014 and 2016.
