Carlos Torres, P.E. is an experienced engineer specializing in transmission planning and protection control. Currently serving as Project Associate I and Senior Associate II at Sargent & Lundy since July 2021, Carlos previously held the role of Transmission Planning Engineer at Seminole Electric Cooperative from September 2018 to April 2021. Prior to that, Carlos worked as a Transmission Planning Engineer and Protection & Control Field Engineer at American Electric Power from August 2013 to September 2018, including contributions to protective relay commissioning and maintenance testing for transmission equipment. Carlos's early career includes co-op positions at American Electric Power and GE Energy, as well as research roles at Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Pennsylvania. Carlos holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, earned in 2012.
