Joseph Demers

Joseph Demers serves as the Director of Testing and Evaluation at Evidence-Based Psychology NYC since September 2021 and holds the position of Senior Psychologist at Sasco River Center, where assessment, evaluation, and treatment services are provided to clients across the lifespan, alongside supervising trainees and early career psychologists. Joseph has maintained a private practice as a Licensed Psychologist under the name J.A. Demers since May 2015 and has previously worked as a Program Evaluation Consultant at The Southfield Center for Development from August 2016 to November 2019 and as a Therapist/Evaluator. Joseph's early career includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Green Chimneys and a Psychology Internship focused on individual and group therapy for children and adolescents in residential treatment. Joseph attained a PhD in Educational Psychology and a Master's degree from the University of Minnesota and holds additional degrees from Brooklyn College and Fordham University.
