Preston Wong

Preston Wong has over 20 years of work experience in the field of data management and architecture. Preston'smost recent role was as the Director of Data Architecture at SGI, where they started in September 2022. Before that, they worked as a Senior Information Architect at Bird Construction from July 2021 to May 2022. From January 2020 to July 2021, they served as a Data Management Specialist and Data Governance at PCF. Prior to that, they were a Data Management Specialist at Coast Capital Savings from May 2019 to November 2019. Preston also worked as a Senior End to End Architect at ICBC from January 2016 to April 2019 and as an Enterprise Technology Architect/Enterprise Data Architect at TELUS from February 2005 to August 2015. Preston began their career as a Technical Consultant at Informatica from September 2000 to February 2004.

Preston Wong is currently pursuing a degree in Technology Leadership at Cornell University. In the past, they completed a certificate of completion in Business Essentials from MapR Academy. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics and Computer Science from The University of British Columbia. Additionally, Preston has obtained various certifications including Confidence, Learning Minitab, Six Sigma: Green Belt, Statistics Foundations: 3, Data Strategy, Designing a Presentation, Leading with a Growth Mindset, Operational Excellence Foundations, Storytelling with Data, and Strategies for Your First 90 Days in a New Job.
