Debbie Nielsen

Debbie Nielsen has extensive work experience in the energy and environmental sectors. Debbie started their career at SaskPower, where they held various roles including Supervisor of Environmental Strategic Planning from September 2003 to September 2007, Director of Environment from September 2007 to November 2017, and most recently as Director of Customer Programs & Strategy since December 2017. Prior to their time at SaskPower, Nielsen worked as a Manager at SaskPower, Shand Greenhouse from October 1991 to September 2003.

Debbie Nielsen holds a Master's degree in Environmental Management, which they obtained from Royal Roads University between 2001 and 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan from 1984 to 1988. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "Aligning Customer Experience with Company Culture" and "Creating a Culture of Strategy Execution" from LinkedIn in 2022.
