Steve Livingstone

Acting Manager, Nuclear Engineering, Construction & Project Delivery

Steve Livingstone, PhD, P.Eng, currently serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan while also working as a Specialist in Small Modular Reactor Development at SaskPower. Previously, Steve held various roles including Small Modular Reactor Specialist and Senior Small Modular Reactor Specialist within the Government of Saskatchewan, focusing on energy policy and nuclear technology. With significant experience at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories as Manager of the Fuel Development Branch and Manager of Applied Physics, Steve has led teams in federal research and technology development related to nuclear safety and innovation. Earlier in their career, Steve served as a Maritime Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada, an MSc in Plasma and High-Temperature Physics from the University of Saskatchewan, and a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Queen's University.
