Zhiguo Wang

Senior Research Engineer at Saskatchewan Research Council

Zhiguo Wang's work experience began in 1992 as a Teaching Assistant at Tsinghua University, where they were involved in fluidized bed reactor design, experimental research, mathematical modeling, industrial testing, and supervision of undergraduate students. From 1997 to 2001, they worked as a Research Assistant (Lecturer) at the same institution, focusing on fluidized bed reactor design, experimental research, mathematical modeling, industrial testing, and graduate and undergraduate student supervision. In 2006, they became a Research Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan, where they worked on gasification process simulation, fluidized bed gasification system design, experimental research, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) on fluidized beds. From 2008 to 2016, Wang worked at the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC), first as a Research Engineer and later as a Senior Research Engineer. Their responsibilities included heavy oil recovery technologies such as mathematical modeling, reservoir simulation, pilot test support, and proposal preparation. Wang's work at SRC also covered thermo-chemical conversion technologies, including CFB gasifier design, gasification, pyrolysis technology review, process simulation, and process optimization/integration. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in project management, report writing, and facility commissioning.

Zhiguo Wang has a comprehensive education history in the field of Chemical Engineering. Zhiguo completed their Bachelor of Science degree from Tsinghua University between 1987 and 1992. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the same university, graduating in 1997. Zhiguo Wang furthered their education by obtaining a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, from 2002 to 2006.
