Raymond Spiteri

Research Collaborator at Saskatoon Police Service

Raymond Spiteri is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as the Evaluation Group Chair for the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) since July 2021. Holding the position of Professor at the University of Saskatchewan since September 2004, Raymond specializes in numerical analysis, scientific computing, and high-performance computing. Additionally, Raymond collaborates with the Ministry of Justice in Saskatchewan and the Saskatoon Police Service on data analytics related to recidivism and missing persons. As an independent contractor for Canadian Light Source Inc., Raymond focuses on algorithms and software for beamline control and the design of diffraction gratings. Raymond has previously held academic roles at Dalhousie University and Acadia University, and possesses a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, alongside a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Applied Mathematics (Theoretical Physics) from Western University.
