Alex Pelser

Alex Pelser is an experienced professional in the field of operations and improvement within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Improvement Specialist in Operations Excellence at Sasol since February 2023, Alex focuses on enhancing the effectiveness and maturity of Energy Business Services to transition to Global Business Services (GBS). Prior to this role, Alex held several positions at Sasol from 2007 to 2021, including Head of Group MES IIT, where responsibilities encompassed executing digital projects, managing a large number of IM suppliers, and driving continuous service improvement. Alex's expertise extends to maintenance operations, business intelligence, and corporate performance management, complemented by an extensive educational background including an MBA in Strategic Thinking and numerous certifications in business analysis and agile methodologies. Prior experience includes roles at Mittal Steel and Mittal South Africa, contributing to the development of business intelligence systems and managing manufacturing execution systems.
