Christian Hancock

Christian Hancock has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Christian currently holds the position of Head of East Plant Operations at Sasol, a role they assumed in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Production Manager at Sasol from March 2018 to June 2022. Before joining Sasol, Christian was the Plant Manager at W.R. Grace from January 2015 to March 2018. Christian also held various roles at Sasol North America, Inc, including Production Manager, Unit Manager, Operations Supervisor, and Inventory Production Planner, from 2003 to 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Research Scientist at Sasol from 2003 to 2005. Christian's earlier experience includes working as a Development Chemist at Georgia Gulf Chemicals & Vinyls, LLC from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they worked as a Chemist at CONDEA Vista Company from 1997 to 1999. Christian also had entrepreneurial experience as the owner of three small businesses, including a grocery store, laundry, and video rental, from 1992 to 1994.

Christian Hancock earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Polymer Science and Engineering from The University of Southern Mississippi from 1994 to 1997. Christian later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business at the University of Phoenix from 2007 to 2008. Currently, they are undertaking a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia, which began in 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2024.
