Kerwin Clive de Vries has a work experience spanning over 11 years. Kerwin Clive started their career at Hulamin as an Engineer In Training for a brief period in 2010. Then, they joined AfriSam as a Junior Mechanical Engineer from 2011 to 2014. Subsequently, they worked at Eskom as a Mechanical Engineer (Boiler Plant) from 2014 to 2016. Since 2016, Kerwin has been associated with Sasol, initially as a Reliability Engineer until 2018, then as a Senior Reliability Engineer until 2022, and currently serving as the Engineering Lead: Reliability.

Kerwin Clive de Vries completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2006 to 2010. In 2014 to 2015, they obtained a Mechanical Engineers Certificate of Competency (GCC Factories) from the Department of Labour. In 2016, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) with Honors in Metallurgical Engineering with a focus on Welding Engineering at the University of Pretoria. Kerwin Clive later took a Short Course in Reliability Analytics at Stellenbosch University in 2019. Finally, from 2019 to 2020, Kerwin attended the University of Pretoria to earn a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Engineering Management.
