Jordi Coll-Ortega

Payload Team Leader at Sateliot

Jordi Coll-Ortega has been working in the space systems engineering industry since 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a BEXUS 26 - Alternative to AirCore for Atmospheric Greenhouse Gas Sampling at the European Space Agency - ESA. In 2019, they completed an internship and Master Thesis at PD AeroSpace, LTD. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Systems Engineer for Galileo FOC (Phase D) and Systems Engineer for Galileo 2G (Phase B) at OHB SE. Currently, Jordi is a Space Systems Engineer at Sateliot.

Jordi Coll-Ortega is currently studying at the ESA & Joint Research Center (EC) for a GNSS International School degree. Previously, they obtained a Master of Science degree from Luleå University of Technology in Spacecraft Design from 2017 to 2019. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Aerospace Vehicle Engineering from 2011 to 2016. Additionally, they hold two certifications, a FIDE Master of Chess from the World Chess Federation obtained in 2011 and a Tècnic d'Esport de Nivell 1 en ESCACS from the Federació Catalana d'Escacs obtained in 2009.
