Maynard Porter has a diverse work experience spanning from 1998 to 2023. Maynard is currently the Director of National Defense and Security Solutions at Satelles, a position they have held since January 2023. Their earlier work experience includes roles such as Reintegration Liaison Officer (AFPAK HAND) at USAF, Chief of Director's Action Group at DoD Executive Agent for Space Staff, Chief of Space Situational Awareness Branch at DoD Executive Agent for Space Staff, Director of Operations at the 846th Test Squadron, Flight Commander at the Acquisition Management Flight, and various other positions at the 746th Test Squadron and Detachment 15 - "Maui Space Surveillance Site".

Maynard Porter earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology-Graduate School of Engineering & Management. Maynard studied at this institution from 2004 to 2006. In 1995, they completed their undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Additionally, Porter pursued further education at The National Defense University, College of International Security Affairs from 2013 to 2014, earning a Master of Arts in Strategic Security Studies (MASSS). During this time, their field of study focused on the South and Central Asia Program.
