Sr. DevOps Engineer | Cyber Security Lead at Digital Force Technologies

Steven McKay has been working in the technology and security industry since 2005. Steven began their career in the US Marine Corps as a Communication Specialist, where they configured over 500 communications assets for 10 organizational units during mission critical deployment operations. In 2010, they joined the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) as a Special Operations Communicator (SOC-C), where they led the configuration, operation, and maintenance of both hardware and software within a network architecture of over 300 devices. In 2016, they joined the Defense Information Systems Agency as a Cyber Network Defense Manager, leading survey, secure, protect, and recovery operations conducted on Internet Access Point (IAP) level networks. In 2018, they joined the Wounded Warrior Regiment as a Senior Enlisted Advisor, facilitating the recovery and care of recovering service members and promoting resiliency through mind, body and spirit. In 2020, they joined Northrop Grumman as part of the Executive Skills Bridge Program, learning the intricacies of the entire program management lifecycle and why Northrop Grumman Corporation will pursue certain DOD contracts. Steven also joined (ISC)² as a CISSP Certification Candidate. Additionally, they joined Digital Force Technologies, LLC as a Sr. DevOps Engineer and Cyber Security Lead, working with world class professionals to push the edge of technology in the force protection/security industry. Steven also works with the IT staff to implement security policy, CUI management, and risk management. Lastly, they joined The Honor Foundation as an Honor Foundation Alumni, a unique transition institute created exclusively for Navy SEALs and the U. S. Special Operations community.

Steven McKay attended Webster University from 2017 to 2020, where they earned a Master's degree in Information Technology Management. Prior to that, they attended Ashford University from 2012 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Information Systems.
