Mariel Feder

Mariel Feder has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mariel currently works at Satellogic as a Business Systems Director. Before that, they held the position of Digital Transformation and Software Solutions Leader at the same company. Prior to their role at Satellogic, Mariel was a Plant Software Manager.

Earlier in their career, Mariel worked as a Docente de Gestión de Proyectos at PMA, PMI Rep en Uruguay. Mariel taught courses on both traditional and agile project management methodologies, as well as preparation courses for the PMP certification.

Before joining PMA, Mariel worked at Universidad ORT Uruguay as a Docente de Gestión de Proyectos and Docente de Diseño y Arquitectura de Software. In these roles, they coordinated the Project Management Area of the Software Engineering Laboratory and taught various courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as certification courses for CMMI.

Mariel also has experience as an IT Manager - Gerente de Sistemas at HRU S.A. y Carrasco Nobile S.A., where they worked for a significant period of time. Additionally, they were a Socia Fundadora at SalirAComer.com, a Consultora de Gestión de Proyectos y Portafolios in the government sector, and a Project Manager and Senior Consultant at Soluziona (ex Ibersis), where they worked on various software development projects.

Mariel Feder has a strong education history in the field of technology and information systems. Mariel obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Universidad ORT Uruguay in the years 2000 to 2005. Mariel later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science and Information Systems from the same university, completing it in 1994 to 1997. In 1995 to 1997, they also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and Information Systems from the University of Oxford. Mariel further expanded their knowledge by studying introductory courses in Physics and Math at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1992. Mariel also holds a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Michigan in 1989. Recently, they completed a Big Data Specialist degree from Universidad ORT Uruguay in the field of Information Technology from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, they acquired a Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2011 to 2015. Mariel also completed a Program in Business Administration and Management from Universidad Católica del Uruguay 'Dámaso Antonio Larranaga' in 2014. Overall, Mariel has a diverse and extensive educational background in computer science, information systems, and project management.
