Alvaro Guerrero's work experience begins in 1996 when they started as an Estudiante en prácticas at Dannheimer&Joos Architekten BDA. Alvaro then worked as a Project Architect at Estudio de Victor López Cotelo from 1998 to 2001. From 2002 to 2005, Alvaro was the Co-Director of the Department of Sustainability at Estudio B612. In 2002, they also became the Director of satt, an Eco-Architecture Design and Consultancy firm. Alvaro then worked as a Projektleiter at Architekturbüro Schultze-Naumburg from 2012 to 2013. Following that, they were a Senior Architekt at Dannheimer&Joos Architekten from 2013 to 2014. Currently, Alvaro is working as a Projektleiter Architekt at Lechner Architekten, a position they have held since November 2014.

Alvaro Guerrero attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1992 to 2001, where they obtained a Licenciado degree in Architecture. In addition, from 1996 to 1998, they studied at the Technical University of Munich as an Erasmus Scholar, focusing on their field of study in Architecture.
