Davide Fransos

Senior CFD Methodology Engineer at Sauber Group

Davide Fransos is a highly experienced Senior CFD Methodology Engineer currently working at Sauber Motorsport since April 2019 and previously at Scuderia Toro Rosso F1 Team. With a strong background in turbulence modeling, thermal simulation methodology, and translation of scientific literature into OpenFOAM, Davide has contributed significantly to Formula 1 car development. Prior to these roles, Davide worked as an R&D Scientist at OptiFlow, a consultancy specializing in wind engineering and computational fluid dynamics. Davide also served as a Contract Professor at Politecnico di Torino, teaching courses in Numerical Analysis and Industrial Mathematics while conducting research in Wind Engineering. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mathematics for the Engineering Sciences, an MSc in Mathematical Engineering, and a BA in Mathematics for the Engineering Sciences, all earned from Politecnico di Torino.
