Zakariyya Danka

Zakariyya Danka has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Zakariyya began their career at PwC South Africa as a Chartered Accountant, where they worked from 2008 to 2010. Following that, they joined the South African Revenue Service (SARS) as a BRM Team Member for a brief period of four months in 2011. Zakariyya then transitioned to South African Airways, where they served as a Management Accountant from 2011 to 2014. Zakariyya then joined RB, where they held multiple roles including Sales Finance Manager from 2014 to 2016 and Finance Manager: Africa Expansion from 2016 to 2017. After their stint at RB, they moved to SAUDIA AIRLINES, where they worked as the Director of Financial Reporting and MIS from 2017 to 2018. Currently, Zakariyya works at Saudia Cargo as the Director of Finance - Finance Control, a position they have held since 2019.

Zakariyya Danka completed their education history with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from the same institution between 2001 and 2004. Before entering university, Zakariyya attended Stanger Secondary School from 1996 to 2000, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period. In terms of additional certifications, Zakariyya obtained the Chartered Accountant designation (CA(SA)) from SAICA in January 2011.
