Olaa Motwalli

Olaa Motwalli has a diverse work experience. Olaa started their career in 2011 as a High-performance computing specialist in the KAUST IT department. Olaa then transitioned to work in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology at KAUST from 2012 to 2017. In 2015, they joined Saudi Electronic University as an Assistant Professor and later became the Chief Data Officer in 2022. From 2019 to 2021, Olaa worked as a Consultant to the Madinah Region Development Authority (MRDA) at the Al-Madinah Region Development Authority. Overall, they have gained expertise in data management, teaching, research, and consultancy roles.

Olaa Motwalli holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) from 2011 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Widener University between 2009 and 2010. In 1999 to 2005, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from King Abdul Aziz University.
