Ian Mahany-Horton

Ian Mahany-Horton is an Associate Patent Attorney currently at Saul Ewing LLP since May 2025, following a similar role at Sunstein LLP from September 2022 to May 2025. Ian obtained a Doctor of Law with a focus on Patent Law from Boston University School of Law, where studies were completed in May 2022. Previous experience includes a Summer Associate position at Sunstein LLP and an Intellectual Property Extern role at Philips, providing exposure to patent prosecution. Ian began a career in engineering as a Systems Engineer at Sikorsky from June 2017 to August 2019 and served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Connecticut from August 2013 to May 2017, enhancing communication and teaching skills. Ian's early work also includes an internship at Pearse-Bertram LLC, where assembly of medical devices was performed.
