Erich Spangenberg currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SIM Acquisition Corp., a healthcare-focused SPAC with a value of $230 million. In addition, Spangenberg is the Founder and Managing Director of Sauvegarder Investment Management, a multi-strategy investment firm specializing in IP-related financing. Previously, Spangenberg was the CEO of IPwe, where efforts were made to enhance the patent asset class through blockchain and AI technologies. Spangenberg also held leadership positions at SK14 Advisors, nXn Partners, IPNav, Acclaim Venture Group, Smartalk Teleservices, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Jones Day, providing expertise in areas such as predictive analytics, strategic advisory services, and corporate law. Spangenberg holds a JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, an MSC in Economics from The London School of Economics, and a BA in Economics from Skidmore College.
