Marisa Mena

Marisa Mena is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in cancer epidemiology and prevention. Currently serving as a Research Advisor at Savana since November 2022, Marisa previously held the position of Principal Investigator at the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute - IDIBELL from January 2020 to November 2022. Prior roles include being a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Catalan Institute of Oncology, focusing on cancer epidemiology from March 2012 to January 2020, and conducting research at Université Victor Segalen Bordeaux 2 and the Institut Européen de Chimie et Biologie. Marisa Mena earned multiple Master's degrees in International Health from institutions such as Institut de Santé Publique, d'Épidémiologie et de Développement, Institute of Tropical Medicine and International Health, and Royal Tropical Institute, alongside a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Universitat de Barcelona.
