John Pavlish

John Pavlish is a seasoned professional in the field of technology and environmental research, currently serving as the Sr Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Birchtech Corp., since November 2014. Concurrently, John has held the position of Sr Research Advisor and Director of the Center for Air Toxic Metals at the Energy & Environmental Research Center since 1993, overseeing a multimillion-dollar program focused on air toxic issues, particularly hazardous air pollutants and mercury. John’s expertise encompasses emission reduction technologies, coal combustion processes, and the economic analysis of control technologies. Prior experience includes a role as Unit Leader/Systems Engineer at Black & Veatch from 1984 to 1993. John Pavlish holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University and an Associate of Applied Science in Power from the University of Minnesota Crookston, with additional educational experience at The University of Kansas.
