Mike O'Brien

Mike O'Brien is a Professor of Digital Communication at Savannah College of Art and Design, a position held since September 2021. In addition to academic roles, O'Brien has worked as a Freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer for notable clients such as Nike, Topps, Miami Dolphins, American Eagle, Wrangler, Tailgate Clothing, and Bath & Body Works since May 2018. Previously, O'Brien served as a Senior Graphic Designer and Illustrator for Abercrombie & Fitch from June 2014 to May 2018, focusing on men's graphic tees, and as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator for Hollister Co. from November 2009 to May 2014. O'Brien's teaching experience includes a role as a Professor of Foundations at The Art Institute of Washington, where instruction covered drawing, color theory, 2D design, and life drawing. O'Brien earned a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design, completing the degree in 2009.
