Shawn M. McKinney

Shawn M. McKinney is an accomplished Principal and Creative Director at TYPONICA since 2006, specializing in brand development, advertising, and visual communication systems. In addition to creative work, Shawn serves as an Online Professor of Graphic Design at Savannah College of Art and Design and an Adjunct Professor at Austin Community College, teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses. Past roles include Lecturer at Texas State University and Design Director for the literary journal Drunken Boat. Shawn's leadership experience includes serving as President of AIGA Austin and teaching at institutions such as the University of Texas at Austin and Wanganui Regional Community Polytechnic. Shawn holds an MFA in Graphic Design from California Institute of the Arts and a BA in English from Tulane University.
