Sly Knight

Sly Knight is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as a High School Engineering Teacher and Makerspace Director at Savannah Country Day School since July 2025. Prior to this role, Sly Knight worked at Gulfstream Aerospace from December 2021 to July 2025 as the Head of Flight Test Data Engineering, focusing on data strategies and certification processes for aircraft. Sly Knight’s extensive background also includes over a decade at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, where positions ranged from Chief Engineer of the Test Engineering Division to Senior Research Engineer and Head of Test Systems Branch, emphasizing leadership in product management and system engineering. Additionally, Sly Knight founded and served as CEO of Artfully Rich, an initiative that supports artists and non-profit causes through online sales. Sly Knight holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
