Sr Fellow Program Manager at Savannah River National Laboratory

Will James is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in energy technology and program management. Currently serving as a Sr Fellow Program Manager at Savannah River National Laboratory since October 2018, Will oversees multidisciplinary programs in clean energy and nuclear materials. Prior roles at the U.S. Department of Energy included Technology Manager for the Battery R&D Team, focusing on the establishment of a Li-ion Battery Recycling R&D center, and leading the Safety, Codes, and Standards Program within the Fuel Cell Technologies Office, where contributions were made to the development of regulations and standards for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. Earlier experience at Savannah River National Laboratory included positions as Senior Engineer A and Post-doctoral Researcher, alongside a role as Technical Adviser in the Fuel Cell Technologies Office. Will holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
