Iqra Mohamud

Iqra Mohamud is a Nuclear Safety Engineer at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions since August 2023, providing technical assistance for engineered safety controls and hazard analyses in accordance with DOE regulations. Part-time engagement as a Nuclear Safety Engineer Support at Fluor Corporation involves work on HVAC systems. Prior experiences include serving as ASUW Liaison for the College of Engineering at the University of Washington, analyzing bacterial abundance in wastewater treatment as a C-Hacker at C-HACK 2022, and collaborating on proposals for NASA focusing on finite element modeling and machine learning algorithms. Iqra has also held positions as Major Chair for Chemical Engineering at the Society of Women Engineers at UW, participated in computational research at Northwestern University, and engaged in undergraduate research at the University of Washington. Iqra earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington College of Engineering and an Associate of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from Green River College.
