Embedded Linux Firmware Engineer at Savant Systems

Gabriel Diamant has a diverse work experience in the field of firmware and software engineering. Gabriel is currently employed at Savant Systems as an Embedded Linux Firmware Engineer starting from March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Bose Corporation for seven years, starting in 2014 as a Firmware Engineer. In this role, Gabriel was responsible for maintaining the Linux platform for embedded ARM-based systems within the Consumer Electronics Division. Gabriel developed a custom Yocto meta layer, debugged issues within the build system, and worked on user-space applications, device drivers, and kernel drivers. Before that, Gabriel worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Bose Corporation in 2013, where they wrote C code for the ARM platform and contributed to board bring-up, HDMI driver debugging, and software update functionality. Gabriel also gained experience as a QA/Applications Engineer at Teradyne in 2012, supporting early releases of new testing units and writing technical documentation. Gabriel started their career at 3M in 2011, working on the software support team and gaining exposure to multi-threaded programming and GUI programming. Finally, in 2010, Gabriel worked as a Software Engineer Intern at MITRE, where they participated in simulating a fully automated UAV mission planning system and deployed MATLAB simulations as a web service. Overall, Gabriel has a strong background in firmware and software engineering with experience in embedded systems and testing.

Gabriel Diamant attended Peabody Veterans Memorial High School from 2005 to 2009. Gabriel did not earn a degree or specialize in any field during this time. Afterwards, from 2009 to 2014, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at Northeastern University.
