Al Disalvio

Al DiSalvio has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on technical operations. Al is currently working as the Vice President of Technical Operations at Savara Inc. Prior to that, they held the same role at Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from August 2022 to July 2023. Al also served as the Executive Director of Technical Operations at Xeris Biopharma (formerly Strongbridge Biopharma) from December 2015 to July 2022. Earlier in their career, Al worked at Merck as an Executive Director from February 2010 to July 2015. Al began their career at Schering-Plough in 1988, where they held various roles including Sr. Director and Director in Chemical Development and Quality. In these roles, they were responsible for the management of multiple chemical plants, pharmaceutical development projects, and environmental management.

Al DiSalvio has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University. Al also holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
