Abdurahman Sharif

Abdurahman Sharif currently serves as the Senior Humanitarian Director at Save the Children International, a position held since March 2024. Previously, Abdurahman held the role of Senior Director of Partnerships and Outreach at Internews Europe from February 2021 to March 2024, focusing on securing funding from European institutional donors. From January 2019 to January 2021, Abdurahman served as a Senior Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister for the Federal Government of Somalia, supporting the Prime Minister on developmental and international relations issues. Abdurahman was the Director of the Somalia NGO Consortium at CARE from June 2015 to December 2018, and prior to that, worked at the Muslim Charities Forum in various positions, including Executive Director. Abdurahman began a Professional Doctorate in Policy Research and Practice at the University of Bath Institute for Policy Research in September 2022 and holds multiple advanced degrees in Development Studies and Applied Foreign Languages from Università di Pavia and Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.
