Makungo Mulenga is a seasoned audit, risk, and compliance professional with extensive experience in the humanitarian and development sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Audit, Risk and Compliance at Save the Children International since April 2021, Makungo previously held senior positions at World Vision from October 2016 to April 2021, including Senior Regional Auditor for the Southern Africa Region. Early career experiences include roles as an Internal Auditor at World Vision Zambia and an Audit Associate at KPMG Zambia. Makungo's foundational experience includes a position as Junior Project Accountant with the US-AID 'PROFIT' Project. Educational qualifications include ACCA and a BSc in Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, complemented by various professional certifications such as CFE, CISA, CIA, CRMA, and FZICA.
