Steve Hawker has over 15 years of experience in product management, product marketing, and business development. Steve began their career in 2004 as a Senior Carrier Product Marketing Manager at Palm, where they were responsible for negotiating technical and functional requirements of Palm OS and Windows Mobile OS Treo handsets. In 2007, they became a Director of Product Management Consultant at Clonefone, and in 2008 they were a Business Development/Product Management Consultant at Plastic Logic and an Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University, teaching Business Leadership to undergrads. In 2009, they were a Product Management/Development Consultant at Verizon Wireless, and in 2012 they were a Product Consultant at Red Hat. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Sr. Manager of Client Delivery Management at Neustar, Inc., and in 2021 they became an Encore Fellow in Product Management at SaverLife.

Steve Hawker has an extensive educational background. Steve obtained their BEng in Electrical Engineering from the University of the West of England between 1984 and 1988. Steve then went on to receive a PgCert in Management from the University of Gloucestershire between 2002 and 2003. Finally, they obtained their MBA in Managing Innovation and Technology, Leading People and Organisations from Santa Clara University between 2005 and 2008. Additionally, Hawker has obtained several certifications, including Agile Meets Design Thinking from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in October 2021, Hypothesis-Driven Development from the University of Virginia in October 2021, Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from the Scrum Alliance in October 2021, Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance in July 2017, Marketing Mix Modeling Essentials from Neustar, Inc., Multi-Touch Attribution Essentials from Neustar, Inc., and Trained Facilitator for The Leadership Challenge from Sonoma Leadership Systems.
