Charly Hemphill

Charly Hemphill started their work experience in 2006 as a Low Voltage Technician at Robert Lloyd Sheet Metal, where they installed HVAC DDC in new construction and remodels. They then worked as a Low Voltage Technician at Stoner Electric from 2010 to 2011, where they built out cable and fiber optic infrastructure at the Facebook Data Center in Prineville, Oregon.

In 2013, Charly joined Symantec as a Technical Support Analyst and later became a Technical Support Engineer and then a Sr. Technical Support Engineer. They provided technical support to customers at a multi-national enterprise level and collaborated with different teams to drive escalation and technical case resolutions. They also accurately documented customer interactions and case-related technical data. Charly worked in this role until 2019.

From 2019 to 2021, Charly worked as a Strategic Support Engineer at Broadcom Inc., providing strategic support to customers. Currently, Charly serves as an Operations Engineer at Saviynt, starting in 2021.

Charly Hemphill began their education at Central Electrical Training Center from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Low Voltage Electrical Apprenticeship. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they attended Linn Benton Community College and earned an AAS degree in Network & Systems Administration. In terms of additional certifications, Charly obtained the following credentials: CompTIA Linux+ (Powered by LPI) Certification from CompTIA in September 2019, Limited Energy Technician Class A from Building Codes Division Oregon in September 2017, Symantec Certified Specialist (SCS) - Symantec™ Advanced Threat Protection 2.0.2 from Symantec in September 2016, Security+ from CompTIA in November 2015. They also completed Firewall Administration Essential Training (institution: Lynda.com), Linux LPIC Level 1 Exam 1 (institution: LinuxAcademy.com), Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCSA v2.16) (institution: LinuxAcademy.com), and Symantec Certified Specialist: Administration of Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 (institution: Symantec).
