James Michels

James Michels has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. James is currently working as a Sr Director of Engineering at Saviynt since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at FortressIQ as a Software Engineer from August 2017 to December 2020, where they were the lead developer and played a crucial role in building core product features and DevOps. Before that, they founded Present Future, Inc. in October 2015 and worked as a one-man show, developing an Apple TV application using Swift and Rails in Docker containers until August 2017. James also worked as a Lead Software Engineer at HappyCo from October 2014 to October 2015. James has also co-founded and served as Co-Founder at 7x7 Labs from November 2011 to October 2014, and at Recurly Inc. from January 2010 to October 2011, where they held the position of Co-Founder and VP of Engineering. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Crackle (Acquired by Sony Pictures) from July 2007 to October 2008 and as a Lead Integration Engineer at OpsTechnology (Acquired by RealPage, Inc.) from August 2002 to December 2005.

James Michels has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Tufts University. The dates of their education are not provided.
