Jaakko Havola

Jaakko Havola has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jaakko started their career as a trainee in the heavy shipbuilding industry at Kvaerner Masa-Yards, where they gained experience in material handling and lifting and transportation of large ship blocks. Jaakko then worked as a trainee at Metso Paper Oy, where they were involved in mechanical engineering tasks related to papermaking machinery and PDM system development.

Jaakko then joined Planmeca Oy as a Mechanics Designer, focusing on mechanical engineering and 3D CAD design for advanced dental care equipment. Jaakko was part of projects that involved the development of systems combining mechanics, electronics, and software.

After that, Jaakko joined Savox Communications Ltd and held various roles throughout their tenure. Jaakko started as a Mechanics Designer, working on product development projects for embedded radio communication systems and professional two-way radio accessories. The projects involved certifications and regulatory considerations. Jaakko then moved on to become a Senior Mechanics Designer, overseeing complex product development projects and the integration of mechanics and electronics.

Jaakko further advanced in their career and became a Product Manager at Savox, taking on product management and project management responsibilities. Their portfolio included various products. Jaakko later transitioned to Manager, OEM Business, where they handled sales and product management, with a key account management role focusing on a German major customer in the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) industry. Additionally, they served as the Product Manager in the Savox Defense Business Area.

Jaakko's next role at Savox was Manager, Tactical Solutions, where they worked from 2017 to 2019. Following that, they became the Senior Manager, Rescue Solutions, emphasizing the development and growth of the Savox Rescue Solutions Business. Their responsibilities included overseeing the trusted and proven supplier of life-saving solutions such as Savox SearchCam, Delsar Life Detector, and Con-Space Hardline.

Currently, Jaakko is the Director, Video Product Line at Savox Communications Ltd. Their main focus is exploring new paths for the company's video-enabled wearables business and leading the growth of their Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) and Confined Space Safety business on a global scale.

Jaakko Havola completed their M.Sc.(Tech.) degree in Product Development (Major) and Industrial Management (Minor) from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, between 1999 and 2005. Later, they pursued Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, although the specific degree obtained and the duration of the program are unknown. Subsequently, from 2006 to 2010, Havola attended Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu where they earned a B.Sc.(Econ. & Bus.Adm.) in Organization and Management (Major) with a minor in Finance.
