Arif Mukhthar Umarkayam Shakilabanu has extensive experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and automation. They have worked at multiple companies, including Savvas Learning Company, Savvas Learning Co (formerly Pearson K12 Learning), and Pearson.

At Savvas Learning Company, Arif served as a Principal DevOps Engineer, responsible for designing, testing, and implementing cloud (AWS) and DevSecOps foundations and guardrails to streamline technical processes and reduce technical debt. They also worked on making cloud infrastructures SOC II compliant and implemented critical DNS security features for iKeepSafe certification eligibility.

In their role as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Savvas Learning Company, Arif ensured high uptime for the Realize Platform and implemented tailored solutions to meet the organization's unique needs. They also worked on organization-wide initiatives involving new technology and proposed/implemented solutions such as serverless CI/CD using Github Actions and Infrastructure as Code with HCL Based Terraform Scripts.

They also provisioned microservices using AWS Beanstalk Service for development and production environments.

Throughout their work experience, Arif has demonstrated a strong ability to ensure code delivery, monitor system health, and address infrastructure issues. They are knowledgeable in various monitoring solutions, such as Datadog and CW Metrics, and have experience migrating large datasets in live production environments using Python scripts.

Arif Mukhthar Umarkayam Shakilabanu earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jansons Institute of Technology in the years 2010 to 2014. Afterward, from 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Arif Mukhthar also obtained a certification as a Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in March 2018.
