Laura Chaveriat, M.A., M.S.Ed. has extensive work experience in the field of education and curriculum development. Laura has held various roles in different organizations throughout their career.

Starting in 1993, Laura worked as an English Language Arts/Humanities Teacher at New Trier Township High School, District #203, and then at Adlai E. Stevenson High School, District #125 from 1995 to 1996.

In 1998, they joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as an Editor for McDougal Littell, Literature and Language Arts, where they worked until 2007.

From 2007 to 2012, Laura worked at McGraw-Hill Education as a Senior Editor, Digital, Literacy, and Humanities. In this role, they served as the book editor for high-stakes adoption projects and managed adoption teams.

Laura Chaveriat, M.A., M.S.Ed. has a diverse education history. Laura completed a Certificate in Content Marketing and Strategy from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 2023. Prior to this, they pursued a Certificate in Editing Program from the Graham School at the University of Chicago.
