Carlos Perez Coca has over 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Carlos began their career at Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria UNI-RUSB as a University Teacher, teaching engineering courses. Carlos then moved on to Claro Nicaragua, where they worked as a Civil Engineer Telecom Supervisor for two years. After that, Coca joined Real Estate Developers SA as a Construction Coordinator, overseeing site survey certification and structural revisions. Carlos then had a brief stint at Digicel as a Civil Engineer PMO Manager, managing construction projects and troubleshooting technical issues. Coca then joined Compañia Las Torres, where they served as an Engineering Manager and Structural telecom tower designer, responsible for designs and approvals of telecom towers. Carlos continued their career at Grupo ITM as a Structural Engineer, before joining Mobilitie as a Project Manager, managing a site development project for cell sites. Currently, Coca is the Director of Operations, Central America at SBA Communications, where they provide overall guidance and leadership to maximize the long-term value of the business.

Carlos Perez Coca has a diverse education history. In 1998, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE INGENIERIA UNI-RUSB. In 2003, they pursued a short-term program in Construction and Design of Horizontal Structures from the same university. Carlos then furthered their education in engineering by attending training courses in 3D Autocad and Sketchup at CentroCad in 2006, and a StaadPro Training course at Bentley Yorba Linda. Carlos also expanded their knowledge in finance with an Advanced Finance Postgraduate program at Universidad Americana (UAM) in 2016. To complement their engineering background, Carlos completed an Executive Master's degree in Business Administration at Universidad Americana (UAM) from 2017 to 2018. Most recently, in 2023, they attended INCAE Business School to obtain a participation certificate in Executive Education with a focus on Risk Management.
