Dirk de Freitas

Dirk de Freitas has extensive work experience in various HR roles. Dirk is currently the Director of Global Benefits at SBA Communications since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Adtalem Global Education from 2018 to 2023, holding roles such as Total Rewards Consultant and HR Operations Consultant. During this time, they partnered with different COEs and shared services to improve services and methods across international locations, administered international benefits and payroll. Before that, they worked at Ross University School of Medicine as a Senior HR Generalist and Human Resource Generalist from 2012 to 2016.

Dirk de Freitas, CEBS, GPHR, SHRM-SCP, has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Human Factors Psychology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. In 2010 to 2011, they completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Human Resources Development from the Institute of Applied Manpower Research. Additionally, Dirk has obtained several certifications including CPHR from the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of Canada in 2017, SHRM-SCP from SHRM in 2015, and GPHR from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2014.
