John Brenneis

John Brenneis has extensive experience in legal counsel, currently serving as Assistant General Counsel for the Florida State Board of Administration since September 2011. Prior to this role, John held the position of General Counsel for the Florida Department of Management Services from January 2007 to June 2011, where responsibilities included advising the agency's executive management. John's legal career began in 1994 and includes positions at various law firms, such as Shareholder/Attorney at Ausley & McMullen, P.A., where John acted as Corporate General Counsel for Capital City Bank Group, and Attorney roles focusing on mergers, acquisitions, estate planning, securities, and regulatory law. John earned a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law and holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University.
