Markus Anwander

Markus Anwander is a Senior Data Scientist and BizDevOps Engineer at SBB CFF FFS since June 2017, leading projects in data science crowd management and developing statistical methods for security reports and analytics. Previous experience includes a role as Senior Data Scientist and Software Developer in the financial department, focusing on data prediction and visualization tools. From January 2013 to February 2016, Markus served as a Senior Software and Innovation Engineer at DFRC AG, contributing to the LBASense crowd management solution using advanced sensor technology. Earlier, as a PhD student and research assistant at the University of Bern from October 2006 to December 2012, Markus specialized in networking and energy-efficient wireless sensor networks. Markus obtained a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Bern, focusing on reliability in energy-efficient wireless sensor networks.
