Head Of Rio Operations at SBM Offshore

Jean-Bernard POILPRÉ has a diverse range of work experience. From 2004 onwards, they worked at SBM Offshore, starting as an FPSO Engineer and then progressing to various leadership positions. Jean-Bernard was the Head of Rio Operations and later became the Group HSSE & Operational Excellence Director, responsible for managing operational core functions and ensuring compliance. Jean-Bernard also served as the Group Strategy Director, where they defined the corporate/business strategy for the group and affiliates, conducted analyses, and managed corporate development. Prior to SBM Offshore, Jean-Bernard worked at CMA CGM as a Ship Superintendent in the Foreign Flag Fleet & Purchasing Department. Jean-Bernard also worked at DCN Log as a Commissioning Engineer and at Marine Nationale during their military service as the Deputy Chief Engineer. Jean-Bernard started their career with an internship at Chantiers de l'Atlantique.

Jean-Bernard POILPRÉ obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from The Open University, where they studied from 2008 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned an engineering degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from ENSTA Bretagne, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, Jean-Bernard POILPRÉ has obtained certifications in Change Management from Prosci and in Helicopter Underwater Escape Training with Emergency Breathing System (OPITO) from Falck Nederland, in 2019 and 2018 respectively.
