Colin Lavery is currently serving as a MAPH Program Mentor at the University of Chicago and is a staff writer for SB Nation. Previously, Colin held positions as an editorial intern at Critical Inquiry - UChicago Press and as an editorial fellow for Common Forms - MAPH Journal, gaining experience in reviewing academic citations and assisting with journal submissions. Colin's legal experience includes internships at the Chicago Justice Project and the Center for Disability & Elder Law, where tasks involved drafting legal documents and client interactions. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from the University of Chicago, a Doctor of Law - JD in Public Interest Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and English Language and Literature from Indiana University Bloomington.
